When we were looking for someone to do some illustrations for the web page we solicited samples from several artists. Far and away the best was a 16-year-old student in our youth group.

Over the past two years we have learned more about the artistic temperament than we ever dreamed of, and we've seen "Benja" grow in his understanding of the Gospel and in his technical abilities as illustrator and animator for the web site.

We not only depend on his drawing to make the site look good, but his animated comic strips are becoming one of our most important teaching tools.

I'm 18 years old and the second of 3 brothers living in a Christian home.

My mom says that since I was very young I have shown and interest in drawing. And now, after many years of practice and teaching myself styles and techniques, I've even won some recognition and a few prizes ... ... but without a doubt the best recognition has been the ability to work on the youth ministry web site.

To be honest, I don't like high school... really don't like it. My dream would be to study at an art and media school to improve what I feel is the gift God has given me and then maybe start a new media design studio with my older brother, Nahum.

8-29-2000 - For my father who's work requires him to be in another country

8-30-2000 - For the future of my family... it's all up in the air because my mom might go to be with my dad. See she lost her job as a teacher because the school she had been working at for 13 years fired her because she wouldn't pray to the virgin Mary.

9-1-2000 - For motivation and discipline in school, because as I mentioned above, I don't like school and struggle to motivate myself.

9-1-2000 - That I would really see the fruits of my labor in the work I do with Tim & Annette.

9-1-2000 - That if my mom does end up going to be with my father, leaving us for a while, that God would protect the 3 of us brothers - Nahum (20), Emanuel (15), and myself (18) - and keep us from doing stuff we shouldn't and help us do the stuff we should.
